Security Key Insurance Program

TopView™ uses a USB key-based security system to determine if a license is legitimate. Using a USB key-based security system allows TopView™ to be installed on numerous systems. For the software to run, the security key must be inserted. This is a great advantage for user's needing to use TopView™ at multiple locations. Whether at home, the office or on a jobsite, insert your USB security key and you're estimating in no time.

Each TopView™ security-key has a unique User Code. If a key is lost or damaged a new User Code must be generated, requiring the purchase of an entirely new license.

We understand that sometimes accidents happen. To ensure those accidents aren't costly, we offer the TopView™ S.K.I.P. (Security Key Insurance Program). For a fraction of the cost of a new license S.K.I.P. assure's your security key is safe and protected. Whether lost, stolen, damaged TopView™ S.K.I.P. has you covered.

S.K.I.P. coverage can only be purchased for Series 2 Security Key's. Series 2 Security Key's require TopView™ version 9.7 or greater.

Security Key Policy

Each TopView™ Security Key has a User Code specific to that key. When a key is lost, stolen or damaged a new user code is required. To obtain a new user code, a new license must be purchased.


Key Replacement

User's with S.K.I.P. coverage should contact TopView™ to replace a security key.

User's with no S.K.I.P. coverage have the following options when their security key has been lost, stolen or damaged:

    Parallel Key:
  • Place claim with insurance company
  • or
  • Upgrade to current License Version
    TopView™ ME - $700
    TopView™ LE - $400
    TopView™ SE - $250
 
    USB Key (Series 1 ‡):
  • Place claim with insurance company
  • or
  • Upgrade to current License Version
    TopView™ ME - $700
    TopView™ LE - $400
    TopView™ SE - $250
 
    USB Key (Series 2 ‡):
  • Place claim with insurance company
  • or
  • Purchase a replacement key
